Kate, from Scotland, arrived in Malta in 2023, ready to embrace retirement—though retirement hasn’t quite embraced her back yet!  Leaving her husband back in the UK managing the operational side of their business, she arrived on her own and was eager to build a new community. Enter AIWM, which provided: friendship, social events, learning opportunities, and a whole community of truly fabulous women.  Their warmth and kindness made settling into life in Malta not just smooth, but joyful.  Deeply grateful for the support she received, she is committed to offering the same welcoming experience to others. 

Professionally, Kate spent most of her career in HR before moving on to co‑running their small business. She also has a real love for Golf. An active member of RMGC, she undertakes a couple of roles within the Club, including helping new members settle in through the brilliantly named Happy Gilmores group. This is one of her most favourite activities and she hopes to bring the learnings from this role to the AIWM role.  Golf is wonderful for women—good exercise, great company, community-building and an excellent excuse to be outdoors—so she’s always encouraging more ladies to grab a club and give it a go.
